After a warning from our juridic department, the jersey for Season 16 suffered a redesign in the sleeves.
The previous design closely resembled the one in use by Yuri SuperTeam. We were informed of a pending patent application for that design, and to avoid future problems it was decided that the best move would be to use a different pattern.
Manager of redop said to the press:
"We presented a couple days ago a new kit to be used this season. These equipments were a limited tryout, and a large scale order for the merchandise shop was yet to be made.
After the presentation of the new jersey we were informed that Yuri SuperTeam was using similar sleeves, and that it was patented. We knew about the existence of the similarity, and we tried not to use the exact same sleeves by inverting the green/red colors, but our juridic department advised that we could still be in trouble after the SNAOTR hunting orange pattern controversy and that it would be best if we could use something else.
That's what happened, we made a new design for the sleeves and ordered a large amount of the new jerseys. You can get yours at the team store.

This patent to the sleeves costed me 12 canteens!! I was going to put a process over you where you needed to give me VA! You have a huge luck doing the change today. Tomorrow would be the day i would show this to the court!

For what it's worth, the redesign is much more aesthetically pleasing, IMHO

Probably because it looks Finnish :) Just turned 90 degrees clockwise. The Portuguese cross has four equal arms, your does not, like the Finnish one :)
